Radio Installation

In 2004, while sitting in a meeting, David Lamignan Larsen drew the head of a monkey looking a bit angry and he created the record label: "Monkeybwoy Productions". A group of musicians all performed by David himself. It all started while living in Africa, where he started exploring music and for the first time tried to rap back in 1991/92. David took the music very serious until 2005, then he realized that he wanted to be an artist and not a musician, so he created hip hop under the alias Mae$trO and made a few cd's while his first year during his bachelor studies.

During a teacher conversation, he got confronted to let Mae$trO go and do something he really hates. He accepted the "challenge", and since David didn't enjoy modern pop radio, he decided to make his own radio channel called "MB Radio" (MB standing for MonkeyBwoy). In this project, Lamignan decided to make everything himself with the help of a few friends and co-students. He made the music, directed, wrote everything, creating his own news , commercials and some of his main alter egos were born: Bushman, Boyz With Voice, Dj Enan, Afro B just to mention a few.

The way he created the installation was to make a own comfy area reminding of a living room with an old radio where the sound was played in loop.
